Gimnazjum nr 2 z Oddziałami Integracyjnymi im. ks. prof. Józefa Tischnera w Woli, Poland

Our junior high school is an integrated school. The school is situated in Poland. We have 140 pupils aged 13-16 and 26 teachers.
The school concept assumes that school is open to the needs of each student, is integrative and therefore we attach great importance to tolerance and understanding of other human differences. Teachers and employees of the school adopt a friendly attitude towards students; make specific demands adjusted to the student abilities. Development needs of students are satisfied by an organisation of education process (work of integrated classes, extracurricular work), development and realisation of 26 individual educational and therapeutic programmes, rehabilitation classes, team education projects. The school cooperates closely with local institutions.
The specificity of work of the school is integrated education which is proved by the organisation of yearly Integrated Sports Competitions “Sport for Everybody” with participation of disabled and non-disabled competitors from all primary and junior high schools in the municipality. The competitions are accompanied with organised by the school municipal art contest – each time on sports theme promoting understanding of the situation and needs of the disabled. Promotion of sports activity in our school is very important and we are trying to engage other local institutions. The school is strongly engaged in actions for protection and idea promotion of human rights, Amnesty International Letter Writing Marathon is organisedeach year. The school participates in actions for the global South spreading the attitude of tolerance and differences towards other cultures. In the school there is a missionary voluntary service (JaninaTischnerowa Well in Chad built owing to the cooperation of Tischner schools; we also helped the school in Ndijm in the Central African Republic).
The students are willing to engage in charity actions which awakens sensitivity to social inequalities in them. The school undertakes a number of actions promoting learning foreign languages.
